“Stop the Bleed” is a nationwide campaign focused on teaching bystanders to control bleeding with the intent to save someone’s life from uncontrolled hemorrhage. Bystanders can take simple steps to keep injured people alive until appropriate medical care is available.

Zach has spent 12
years as a firefighter/paramedic for Sandy City Fire and as Flight Paramedic
for AirMed before joining University Healthcare. Now, he works with the trauma
program at University of Utah Hospital in Salt Lake City and assists the trauma
program with creating and managing injury preventions efforts.
