This interactive session will introduce participants to instructional techniques for engaging middle and high school students in discussions and skill practice designed to change behavior from unhealthy to healthy.
Participants
will:

effective instruction in promoting social emotional and behavioral health

acquire new teaching skills

understand the elements of an effective and
engaging social/emotional, behavioral change learning activity

experience a model lesson demonstrating
effective use of skills and activities that foster behavioral change

Craig Zettle
Craig Zettle is passionate about evidence-based
prevention education and positive youth development. He has been involved in evidence-based
prevention programming in schools and communities for 15 years; namely the Botvin
LifeSkills Training (LST) program. Craig
holds a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Florida State University
and has been working with educators and administrators in the United States and
abroad for more than 20 years. He has
presented at conferences on education-related topics in the US, Europe, Asia,
and South America. He frequently hosts webinars on the LST program and
other school-based prevention topics, and consults on initiatives that seek to
move evidence-based prevention education forward as it related to the adoption
of digital content for school-based prevention.
