Breakout Description:
With the rise in obesity and
sedentary living, we need to take action in physical education and make a
difference in the lives of our students. The need for creative fitness,
educational activities, and curriculum alignment is essential if we are going
to change this devastating trend! Come to this session if you are ready to
think outside the box and create a curriculum that will inspire students to not
only improve personal fitness within the classroom but beyond graduation!

Robyn Bretzing
Robyn
Bretzing is an alumnus of Arvada West High School and attended Brigham Young
University where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical
Education. Robyn has taught PE and coached soccer for 25 years and
currently teaches/coaches at Timpanogos High School in Orem, Utah. She
was awarded the UAHPERD and Southwest District Teacher of the Year in 2008 and
was recognized by her school district with the Golden Apple Award for
excellence in education. In 2007, Robyn was recognized by the State of
Utah for her successful playing and coaching career in soccer and was inducted
into the Utah Soccer Hall of Fame at Rio Tinto Stadium. In her coaching career
she has won 13 Utah State Cup Championships and 4 High School State
Championships. In 2016, Robyn was awarded the UEA Excellence in Teaching
Award for her innovative curriculum and passion for teaching. She was featured
in the BYU College of Education Magazine for her innovative curriculum and
passion for education. Robyn loves to work with youth, teachers and
coaches throughout the country encouraging others to think outside the box and
exceed expectations. She lives everyday by this motto: You may see me
struggle, but you will never see me quit!
